Suggestions after an answer, and how to turn them off

Why your AI sometimes offers you a next step, where those suggestions come from, and the one sentence that stops them.

Last checked .

What are the suggestions?

Say Dana runs S'mores and asks Claude to fix a typo on the About page. Claude makes the change and gives her a preview link. Under the answer, it also offers what she might do next:

They're offers. Your AI is told to suggest them to you and not to act on one unless you say so.

Where do they come from?

The site manager picks them by simple rules from what just happened, like a change that's waiting for you. No AI writes them behind the scenes.

Each one arrives labelled "You could also", with a note telling your AI to offer it to you and not to do it without asking. They sit in the answer itself, in plain view. Nothing is passed to your AI out of sight.

How do I turn them off?

They're on unless you turn them off. To stop them, tell your AI: "Turn off the suggestions." They stop for you, on every site, until you ask for them back.

Can a site turn them off for everyone?

Yes. If a site's owner asks us, we switch them off for the whole site. Then nobody's AI gets them on that site, whatever their own setting.
